Tyre wear capture for a cleaner environment
The Tyre Collective is a clean-tech start-up spearheading the capture and monitoring of tyre wear. It is developing the first on-vehicle device to capture tyre wear at the source. The patent-pending technology uses electrostatics and airflow to attract tyre particles. Captured particles can be upcycled in a variety of applications creating a closed-loop system.
Project Highlights
- Our Technology Developer Accelerator Programme (TDAP) helped The Tyre Collective accelerate its development, including undertaking further testing, product refinement, and starting two paid pilots.
- The programme enabled the organisation to progress its route to market by further developing its business model, growing its network, particularly in the bus sector, and securing further funding.
- Increased Technology Readiness Level from 4 to 5 during the programme.
