We help to build on the UK’s global leadership position in scientific research, automotive engineering and net-zero political ambition, by enabling the de-risking of new product and process development, supporting domestic and export markets.

Our collaborative R&D competitions are a commitment from the UK government and industry to accelerate the development of low carbon technology in the UK, safeguarding and creating jobs and supporting investment in cutting edge research and development (R&D).

Investing in Innovation

We support projects to implement new propulsion technologies and processes within the automotive sector (including passenger car, bus, off-highway and heavy-duty). Helping businesses to take their technology from the research and concept stage through to the point of manufacture and readiness for commercialisation.

With multiple competitions running every year, there is ample opportunity to apply for match-funded financial support. Our team work with organisations to help form collaborative projects, provide support and guidance in relation to the funding application process and share strategic industry insights.
