New partnership for APC with the Future Powertrain Conference

The Advanced Propulsion Centre today announced it will join AVL Powertrain and the Energy Storage Research Network as partners in The Future Powertrain Conference 2015 (#FPC2015) which was successfully introduced in 2014.

The event over two days (25th and 26th February 2015) at the National Motorcycle Museum brings together both academic experts and industry leaders within the UK in the powertrain development field to present and discuss solutions to the challenges that face our industry over the next 10 years.

Keynote Speakers will be Dr Lou Balmer-Millar, Director of Research & Advanced Engineering, Caterpillar Inc, Jo Lopes, Head of Technical Excellence, Jaguar Land Rover and Mark Mathieson, Chief Engineer Powertrain Research, McLaren.

Key issues facing the industry will be discussed Energy Storage, Future Combustion Engines, Batteries, Emissions Control, Game Changers, Heavy Duty, Electric Machines & Power Electronics, Emerging Markets, Powertrain Control and Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Systems.

As part of this event on Wednesday 25th February, Tony Pixton, Chief Executive of the Advanced Propulsion Centre will host a networking event entitled ‘The Value of Collaboration’ as part of the APC’s approach to turning low carbon production technology into products developed in the UK.
