Join the UK Delegation to the Beijing EV100 Conference

In January 2018, the Advanced Propulsion Centre and Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Department for International Trade (DIT), will organise a Automotive Technology Mission to China.

The mission will be centred around the EV100 conference on the 14th-15th January 2018 which is attended by senior representatives from Chinese OEMs, government and scientists. As well as high-level networking, attendees will gain an overview of the technology, business and regulatory landscape in China’s rapidly developing intelligent mobility sector.

China is the world’s largest car market, with sales of 24 million cars in 2016 – almost ten times the UK market. China is also the world’s leading EV market, with 507,000 sales in 2016. Meanwhile China also has the potential to rapidly deploy autonomous vehicles, with Chinese manufactures and tech groups investing heavily in these technologies at home and abroad.
