Automotive Award for Innovation submissions deadline extended

Due to the high levels of interest in the Automotive Award for Innovation, it has been announced that the entry deadline for submissions is being extended. The SMMT Automotive Award for Innovation, in partnership with the Advanced Propulsion Centre will be moving the existing deadline for submissions to midnight on Monday 7 September.

SMMT’s prestigious Automotive Award for Innovation, which recognises UK-developed concepts and technologies with the potential to transform the automotive industry, is currently open for its sixth year of entries.

How to enter

The Award is open to SMMT members and non-members engaged in any innovative project that will benefit the UK automotive industry.

Shortlisted entrants benefit from the following:

  • One free ticket to attend the SMMT 99th Annual Dinner, which is attended by over 1,000 industry executives and selected journalists.
  • Free use of the SMMT Award for Automotive Innovation 2015 – Shortlisted Entry logo / Winner logo in your marketing materials
  • SMMT will publicise all shortlisted entrants and the winner through the SMMT website, direct communication to over 600 member companies, and via press releases.
  • Previous winners have also benefitted from features in The Times, written by Robert Lea, Industrial Editor and Award judge.
