HV Integrated and Thermally Optimised Platform
WATT will deliver and test EV skateboard platform demonstrators of their latest technologies, a dynamic ultra-lightweight demonstrator with battery module to chassis construction suitable for a small 2-seat passenger/sportscar, alongside a static demonstrator of the module to baseplate design suitable for more complex and larger vehicles.
Both are designed to maximise integration opportunities using WATT’s new Thermal Management and Electrical & Electronic / Control system core platform architecture that will underpin future EV engineering and manufacturing projects.
Project highlights:
- Delivering a dynamic and static skateboard structural, thermal and EE system core technology platform demonstrator that underpins many future EV developments.
- Enhancing opportunities have been identified with deeper integration across thermal systems, promising advances in lightweighting, cost reduction and easier-to-assemble integrated structural battery systems.
