iNetic – M3Pack

Magnet-Minimum Motor-Gearbox Pack for high-efficiency compact electric propulsion.

iNetic has developed and bench-validated a high-speed permanent magnet motor with a tested 1:10 gearbox. This project aims to integrate a ferrite magnet rotor to reduce reliance on rare-earth materials. University College London will support the drive integration, cooling, and system validation. Project partner Zero EV Conversions, a leader in electric vehicle retrofits, is guiding requirements and validating in a relevant environment to ensure compatibility with retrofit applications. The upgraded motor-gearbox system will be bench tested and demonstrated, offering a scalable propulsion solution for zero-emission on-road applications.

Project highlights:

  • Delivering a 200 kW, 800V synchronous reluctance motor with integrated thermal management and high-ratio gearbox.
  • Supporting UK industrialisation through its focus on manufacturability and domestic supply chain activation.
  • Enabling deployment across EV retrofits, light commercial vehicles, marine platforms, and specialist mobility.
