Battery Minerals’ mission is to deliver high-value, low-cost, low footprint minerals extraction, starting with lithium from end-of-life sources.
Their flagship lithium-first extraction technology enables lithium to be extracted profitably from battery waste materials. Designed to operate at small scale, the technology can be deployed as a standalone solution or integrated into larger recycling operations, making it adaptable across global markets.

- Battery Minerals started the programme with IP only and exited with a clearly defined product-led business and lab-scale validated technology.
- Increased Technology Readiness Level (TRL) from 4 to 5.
- Planning to expand commercial and engineering capability and raise £3 million to deliver a pilot plant, targeting 10+ kg/day output, followed by customer trials and commercial deployment after successful piloting.
