Project Highlights
- Development of game changing automated stator manufacturing cell capability
- Development of a software model interfacing with the machines, the supply chain, MRP and customers providing benefits from the automation of procurement, customer management and planning activities
- Primarily targeted at Niche or low volume electric motor manufacture for global off-highway, 2 & 3 wheel on road electric vehicle and machine markets
- The concept significantly reduces cycle time to produce stators from circa 68 minutes down to Circa 3 minutes
- The project demonstrated an automated stator manufacturing cell live at LCV2021
- Total project value £1,157,855, with £738,983 funded through the APC
