At the core of Maeving’s proposition is a removable battery that can be taken out of the vehicle and charged from any standard plug socket.
Maeving is developing the world’s first removable battery electric two-wheeler platform with fast charging and telematics capabilities, allowing for charge times of under an hour, and will demonstrate the application of this technology through a new electric motorcycle.
Project highlights:
- The project will drive a step change in the performance of removable battery powertrain systems, for the first time allowing removable batteries to be charged both off-board in users’ homes and offices and using the public EV fast charging network.
- By integrating CAN and telemetry into the charging system, Maeving will monitor battery performance across various environments and use cases.
- The systems integration of the new charging architecture with the existing powertrain components progresses Maeving’s currently leading technology in this space.
