Nissan – SUITE
Designing cutting-edge solar panels for vehicles to improve EV efficiency and range.
Through cross sector collaboration with UK experts from industry and academia, project SUITE will explore the design and development of Integrated Energy Technologies for zero-emission vehicles.
The consortium, led by Nissan Technical Centre Europe, will look at advancing Gallium Nitride (GaN) inverter technology for higher EV efficiency; designing cutting-edge solar panels to improve solar panel efficiency and vehicle range; intelligent charging management; and implementation of an automated charging solution.
The technologies developed through project SUITE will enhance customer satisfaction, lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), ease infrastructure pressures and establish the UK as a global leader in clean mobility and energy system integration. For project partners, this will deliver accessible pathways to exploitation and open doors to new strategic markets.
