Maeving – Project FlashDrive

The FlashDrive Powertrain project will develop and bring to market a new generation of electric motorcycle technology designed and manufactured in the UK. Led by Maeving, in collaboration with Nyobolt, Muon Tech, and WMG, the project brings together expertise in cell technology, battery management, vehicle control HW & SW, cyber security and manufacturing.

The project’s aim is to deliver new production representative electric motorcycles, alongside a new powertrain architecture that enables rapid charging (petrol-like convenience), extended range, and improved performance to accelerate the shift to zero-emission transport. By localising critical parts of the supply chain in the UK, the project will also strengthen national capabilities in battery systems and electric vehicle manufacturing.

This collaboration supports the UK’s net-zero targets, enhances industrial resilience, and ensures that British engineering plays a leading role in shaping the future of clean mobility.
