JLR – AsTech
Developing technologies for next-generation electric vehicle architectures.
The ASTech project is a collaboration between JLR, Arm and Codethink to create the technologies that will power JLR’s next generation of AI-enabled Electric Vehicle Architectures. This will be built on Arm’s automotive compute platform and Codethink’s Safe Linux Operating System and Integration Framework.
A major focus of the project is advancing Software‑Defined Vehicle (SDV) technologies. SDVs are changing how drivers and passengers interact with vehicles and how they are connected to off-board urban ecosystems. This transformation is reshaping how vehicles are designed and manufactured and opening the door for new business models and partnerships between automakers and technology companies.
This project is a significant step for UK technology innovation and will play a substantial role in transforming both in‑vehicle interaction and engineering processes.
