The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) has confirmed that it will attend the rescheduled Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo at the Messe Stuttgart in Germany from 18 to 20 May 2021. It is now seeking additional companies to join the UK Pavilion alongside Autocraft Solutions Group, Eatron Technologies, Samuel Taylor Limited, and TWI Ltd who have confirmed they will attend the show at its new date.
The UK Pavilion is hosting leading innovators in powertrain and battery technologies who are participating in the APC’s International Events Programme, in partnership with Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Department for International Trade, SMMT and Innovate UK.
The development of new powertrain technologies is key to delivering the UK government’s ambitious net-zero emissions targets and is integral to the UK’s green recovery post-COVID-19. APC is at the heart of the UK’s strategy, providing support and funding for the research, development and industrialisation of technologies that aim to accelerate the realisation of net zero-emission vehicles. APC’s International Events Programme creates opportunities for SMEs to demonstrate their ground-breaking technologies to international investors and prospective customers at some of the world’s pre-eminent trade shows.
The Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo is run alongside The Battery Show Europe, creating Europe’s largest H/EV and advanced battery technology trade fair. Attended by more than 400 international suppliers, the event is a leading meeting place for powertrain technology.
Jo Evans, Head of Marketing and Communications at the Advanced Propulsion Centre, said: “Despite challenging conditions due to COVID-19, we are determined to continue showcasing the incredible innovations in powertrain technology being developed by UK industry through our International Events Programme. We are eager to work with interested companies, helping them overcome barriers to participation, readily acknowledging that business conditions and travel advice can change rapidly.
Our International Events Programme is helping the next generation of low carbon innovators gain a foothold on the global stage, showcasing the latest product developments. This complements our funding programmes, increasing awareness of emerging technologies and how they are at the heart of the UK’s green revolution.”
