Balance Batteries’ cooling technology, embedded in best in class battery modules, enables battery packs to be 30 to 50% lighter, depending on the application, as well as significantly cheaper than existing solutions.
Thermal control of high power/fast charge batteries – Project highlights
- Balance Batteries was founded in 2020, aiming to manufacture bespoke battery packs with a light-weight and advanced cooling system.
- Cooling system is specifically designed to accommodate cell expansion forces and allow near direct cooling of cell faces, enabling extended battery cell life.
- Cooling technology can be applied to high-power modules, which further increases the power at which they can be continuously operated.
- TDAP project will help Balance Batteries accelerate the development of their advanced cooling technology and demonstrate it in a prototype battery module.
