The Automotive Transformation Fund (ATF) is a funding programme created to support the industrialisation of an electrified vehicle supply chain in the UK at scale.
Powered by a collaboration between the Advanced Propulsion Centre, the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Innovate UK, the fund provides support for capital and late-stage R&D projects in key technology areas:
Targeted at larger scale projects, the fund helps businesses to develop future technologies and supports investments that fill key elements of strategic electrified supply chains, to help accelerate the transition to electrification for a net-zero automotive industry in the UK and beyond.

Applications are now being invited for funding to support feasibility studies for projects up to the value of £1 million and that have the potential to either accelerate the scale up of a UK high-value electrified automotive supply chain or make it easier for investment in large-scale manufacturing.
Successful applicants will be awarded a share of up to £7 million to investigate:
To start an application, companies are first invited to check the eligibility of a project for funding through the ATF Funding Tool. The ATF team will contact eligible projects to provide guidance on how to submit a formal application for funding.
