The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) has announced 17 delegates to represent the UK automotive sector at the JSAE Spring Congress on 23-25 May in Yokohama, Japan. Exhibitors will present their latest low carbon and connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) solutions to vehicle manufacturers and major suppliers in Japan at the UK Pavilion.
The Pavilion, which is a stand comprised of innovative companies based within the UK, includes delegates from a wide range of fields within the automotive industry, such as battery technology, thermal management, component production and lightweighting solutions. Together, the companies demonstrate that, as a destination for the development and production of cutting-edge low-carbon powertrain and CAV technology, Britain is GREAT.

Advanced Electric Machines (AEM) branched out from the Newcastle University Centre for Advanced Electric Drives and focuses on world-class motor and drivetrain designs. AEM delivers cost-effective and high-performance solutions with minimal environmental impact for the automotive market.
AVID designs and manufactures electrified powertrains and advanced thermal management systems for high-performance electric and hybrid vehicles. The company serves automotive OEMs, as well as bus and coach and off-highway sectors.
Constellium provides innovative and high value-added aluminium products and solutions to help global automotive manufacturers produce lighter, safer and more fuel-efficient vehicles.
Continental Engineering Services (CES) offers engineering services such as consulting, development, production and integration. CES specialises in chassis & safety controls, interior electronic functions, vehicle electrification and powertrain solutions.
Dontyne Gears provides software and services aimed at the optimum production of transmission gear components. The company’s Gear Production Suite is a series of programmes to design, machine and inspect gears during production.
HiETA produces thermal management and lightweighting solutions. Using selective laser melting, HiETA manufactures components from layers of fine powders. The solutions are more compact and efficient than conventional manufacturing techniques.
Hyperdrive Innovation provides lithium-ion cell chemistry and battery management technology. The company is a partner and supplier to OEMs and the first to secure the supply of Nissan LEAF lithium-ion battery technology for its own products.
