Microcab, Riversimple and Tevva Motors have been shortlisted for the Award for Low Carbon Innovation by an SME, at the Low Carbon Champions Awards held by the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership. The award, which is sponsored by the Advanced Propulsion Centre, gives the recognition deserved to SME’s who are using their expertise to lower CO2 emissions.
The UK has a wealth of experience in the Low Carbon Automotive sector making a real difference to the amount of CO2 emitted from our vehicles. It also has an impressive range of SME’s, who are working to develop existing and disruptive technologies that could make a real difference on emissions and help tackle climate change.
To help support UK SME’s, the Advanced Propulsion Centre this month launched a £1 million competition to support SME’s. The SME & Supply Chain Development Grant Funding Competition will support SME’s with early stage technology and is run by Niche Vehicle Network.
Gareth Deakin, Project Associate at the Advanced Propulsion Centre, said: “The APC are proud to be sponsoring the Award of Low Carbon Innovation by an SME. We are committed to helping SME’s develop their technologies and businesses, to enable collaboration with larger Tier 1 and OEM’s. There is a wealth of experience and knowledge within our UK SME’s and we feel privileged to be able to celebrate that capability at the Low Carbon Champions Awards”
The Awards celebrate outstanding and innovative practice in the UK in accelerating the shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels and reducing road transport emissions.
