The Advanced Propulsion Centre, in partnership with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the SMMT, is organising a series of UK Pavilions and Technology Tours to showcase the ‘Best of British’ in low-carbon innovations at major international events.

This is an opportunity to access key strategic markets with the support of BEIS, the APC and local embassies.

CES, Las Vegas, 4-8 January 2017

CES, also known as the Consumer Electronics Show, is an internationally renowned electronics and technology trade show, attracting major companies and industry professionals worldwide. The annual show is held each January at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

For 50 years, CES has been the launch pad for new innovation and technology that has changed the world. Held in Las Vegas every year, it is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies and where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace.

The Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, alongside the Advanced Propulsion Centre and the Department for International Trade, will host a reception to discuss what the UK has achieved so far in CAV developments, give the opportunity to form new partnerships and collaborations, and be part of this technological revolution.

SIAT, India, 18-22 January 2017

Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT) is a widely covered biennial international event organized by ARAI. SIAT serves as an important forum for sharing ideas and knowledge concerning promising areas of Automotive Engineering and Technology, wherein eminent experts world over present Keynote and Technical Papers in multiple sessions. The froth coming edition of SIAT, i.e. SIAT 2017, the 15th in the series, is being organized by ARAI in association with SAEINDIA, NATRiP and SAE International, at its campus in Pune (India) from 18 to 21 January 2017. This forthcoming edition of SIAT assumes special significance, since ARAI turns 50; a month prior to this symposium’s schedule. SIAT 2017 is going to be a memorable one, considering the grand finale of ARAI’s Golden Jubilee program.

In this symposium over 200 technical papers, including 40 Keynotes, on various subjects will be presented. Apart from Symposium proceedings, Technical Reference Bulletin containing technical articles, case studies and product information, will be published. There will be panel discussions and student poster presentation competition too. An exposition, SIAT EXPO 2017, will also be organized concurrently at ARAI from 18-21 January 2017, where a spectrum of worldwide companies will showcase Automotive Products, Equipment, Services and Technology Solutions in various stalls.

JSAE, Japan, 24-26 May 2017

Held at the Pacifico Yokohama Conference Centre, Japan on the 24-26 May 2017, JSAE is one of the largest automotive events in Asia.

There will be the opportunity to exhibit on the UK Pavilion at this event, as well as to present at a half day seminar.

Engine Expo, Germany, 20-22 June 2017

Engine Expo is a large show which sees 3,600 visitors over three days and hosts the prestigious Engine of the Year award.

At Engine Expo there is the opportunity to exhibit on the UK Pavilion and take part in the UK Technology Forum.

LCV, UK, 9-10 Sept 2017

LCV 2017 is the 10th in a successful series of annual Low Carbon Vehicle events to be run by Cenex. This year’s event will take place on the 6th and 7th September at Millbrook.

At LCV, the UK Government agencies will come together to showcase the wide range of opportunities available for UK technology developers.

EVS30, Germany, 9-11 October 2017

The Electric Vehicle Symposium is held every 12-18 months and is a chance for government, industry and academic representatives to hear the latest research on electric mobility.

There will be the opportunity to exhibit on the UK Pavilion at this event.

Aachen Colloquium, Germany, October 2017

The Aachen Colloquium Automobile and Engine Technology has become the largest automotive and engine technology congress in Europe and the high number of participants shows the existing interest of the automotive and supplier industry.

The congress provides a wide range of technical presentations addressing current challenges of the vehicle and engine industry. Program-related test vehicles, prototypes and aggregates from participating companies and institutions are presented on the ika test track.

Advanced Engineering, UK, November 2017

Launched in 2009 with just 80 exhibitors and 1200 attendees, Advanced Engineering UK has grown year on year to become the UK’s largest annual meeting of advanced engineering professionals and supply chain organisations. Since its move to the NEC in Birmingham it has become one of that venue’s fastest-growing events, playing host to over 700 exhibitors and a record 13,000 2-day attendance in 2015.

As part of this impressive expansion, Advanced Engineering has launched several co-locating show zones reflecting key, inter-related sectors driving the UK’s manufacturing capabilities: Aero Engineering; Automotive Engineering; Composites Engineering; Performance Metals Engineering; and Enabling Innovation. Growth is set to continue for 2016 as the UK continues to meet national and international requirements in the high value manufacturing sector.

In 2017 Advanced Engineering is back and promises to be yet another record breaking year for attendance.
