Low emission vehicle systems IDP13 – Competition Open
Innovate UK, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy are to invest up to £24 million to research vehicle technology that provides major reductions in real-world emissions. In particular, Innovate UK are looking for projects developing low-cost, highly integrated systems enabling zero emission journeys.
The competition launch comes after an array of funding announcements from the UK funding ecosystem, including APC5 grant funding competition worth £84 million and the Low Carbon Vehicle Technologies Competitions investing £2.45 million in new projects.
The funding ecosystem is a collaboration between numerous UK Funding agencies, who together are helping those with great ideas bring them to life. Each of these agencies work cohesively to enable a fluid support mechanism which companies can seek help through each phase of their technology development.
